Worship This Child Together

Worship this Child Together - Keith Arp

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6  KJV)

“The wisest thing you could do at Christmastime, or any other time, is to worship Jesus. In spite of difficulty, distance, discomfort, and danger, the wise men sought to worship Jesus Christ. They received the ministry of the Spirit, who put it in their hearts to find Him."--Adrian Rogers

Worship – Greek (latreuó) to serve; service

At this time in the age of the church, “worship” has become more of a word of division than a word that displays the believer’s service to Christ. The very Christ who delivered them from total hopelessness to complete and forever forgiveness.  He is our Master.  He is our Redeemer.  He is, “…the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:13 NASB).  The scripture above says, “…His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”.   Oh, how we should come together in worship!

Why can’t all who know Him as Lord come together and worship the “…Child who is born…”; the “…Son who is given…”?  Denominations divide us.  This is not His design.  I am not a Baptist first!!!  I am HIS first!!!  Some of us are quiet.  Some of us are loud.  Some raise hands.  Some stay reserved in their worship.  Yes, some are not led in the truth of His Word.  Sadly, man has entered his flesh into Christ’s perfect creation, the church.  The Baptist are better than the Episcopalian.  The Methodist sprinkle, we dunk.  Don’t get me wrong.  I have a Biblical view that I truly believe in my heart is the closest to the church that Paul built throughout his journeys.  I just know that I try to follow the way Christ would have me to teach His Word.  However, true Christians can still join in corporate worship.

He is not just any child.  (John 1:14 NASB) “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”  Just as Adrian Rogers said, “…the wise men sought to worship Jesus Christ. They received the ministry of the Spirit, who put it in their hearts to find Him.”

Those who know Christ should do as the wise men did and SEEK to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ.  He is the second in the triune God Head, who was born in the flesh of man, just so we one day soon may dwell in the very same “Glorified” body, just as He is!!!  Why do we allow the ignorance of man keep us from fellowshipping with all believers.  Some Methodists are saved!  Some Pentecostals are saved!  Some Presbyterians are saved!  Some Episcopalians are saved!  SOME BAPTISTS ARE SAVED!!!  “…for unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…”  Can we all come together to worship this Child?  Worship the Child who was born in a lowly manger. To Worship this Son who gave His life on a cross of misery that we can live full of grace and hope.  True Biblical teaching is necessary for one’s sanctification.  Salvation creates corporate Worship.  Why don’t those who know Him join together in love and worship Him???

Are We Thankful? Really Thankful? - Keith Arp

“We need to discover all over again that worship is natural to the Christian, just as it was to the godly Israelites who wrote the psalms and that the habit of celebrating the greatness and graciousne
